CAD Operator / Drafter - Syracuse, NY

We are currently seeking a CAD Operator / Drafter for our Corporate office in Syracuse, New York.

Job Description

The CAD Operator / Drafter coordinates the collection, collating and managing of all architectural and engineering documents for multiple retail properties across the country, including the creation of full sets of construction documents for renovation and redevelopment projects using outside architects, engineers, surveyors, and workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Leasing Team to provide CAD support
  • Coordination with Leasing and Construction / Tenant Coordination Department in the creation of Lease Outline Drawings (LOD’s), Site Plans, and floor plans/elevations
  • Create 3D computer generated models and renderings of interior/exterior tenant storefronts/spaces
  • Edit, modify and update Leasing Plans (Existing Conditions Plans, Dream Plans, Wall Plans)
  • Modify, verify and update CAD drawings
  • Coordination with outside A/E consultants
  • Conversion of existing conditions plans (.pdf files) to Auto-cad (.dwg) and the inventory management of drawing files

Provide superior client service

  • Positively and proactively collaborate with everyone in the Company in any way needed to further the leasing and marketing of mall properties to achieve, sell and provide world-class service to all our constituents
  • Maintain Client confidence and protect operations by keeping proprietary information confidential

Perform other duties as required

 

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate Degree
  • 2-3 years’ experience preferred but not required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Auto CAD
  • Sketchup
  • Other software welcome (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Technology adept
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
