Intern to the Leasing Representative - Syracuse, NY


The Leasing Intern will work directly with the Leasing Department to support the Leasing Representatives in the process of recruiting new tenants to occupy our portfolio of enclosed malls across the country.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop lists of prospective tenants to lease space.
  • Research Information about specific tenants such as:
    • Number of stores
    • Average Store Size
    • Average Sales per store
    • Growth Plans
    • Real Estate Contact Information
  • Develop “Void Analysis” of prospective tenants
  • Market Research to gather data about the markets where properties are located
  • Assist in evolving leasing marketing brochures
  • Prepare “Deal Flow Presentations” for Leasing Rep
  • Assist Leasing Rep in updating and maintaining the corporate leasing process tracking system (ie Leasing Pad)
  • Assist in preparation of Business Proposals Letters of Intent
  • Coordinate with mall management staff in supporting the leasing effort
  • Help in evaluating lease documents and understanding various provisions within the lease
  • Help Leasing Reps prepare for tenant meetings

Assist in all other aspects of the responsibilities of the Leasing Representatives
