Earlier this week, Costco announced in a press release they have completed the acquisition of Innovel Solutions.
Innovel Solutions provides third-party end-to-end logistic solutions with nationwide capabilities. The acquisition is a huge deal for the brand, and will further enhance the customer experience for Costco shoppers.
Innovel has worked with Sears to use “final mile” delivery, which allows installation and white glove capabilities for bulkier products across the US and Puerto Rico. Some of the products that are served through Innovel Solutions include major appliances, mattresses, televisions and furniture.
Innovel has over 1,500 employees and operates 11 distribution/fulfillment centers and over 100 final-mile cross-dock centers.
According to Crag Jelinek, Costco’s Chief Executive Office, the retailer has been a proud customer of Innovel since 2015.
“We have had a great relationship with Innovel and share a philosophy of taking care of our members,” Jelinek shared.
