The largest omnichannel sports retailer, DICK’S Sporting Goods, is expanding its nationwide footprint in February. DICK’S will open one Sporting Goods store and four Warehouse Sale stores across Texas, North Carolina, New York, Oklahoma, and North Carolina.
With these new additions to their portfolio, DICK’S will have 728 stores in 47 sates nationwide.
The retailer has a few different store concepts. Their traditional sporting goods locations serve exclusive apparel, footwear and equipment from brands such as Nike, adidas, The North Face, and more. Their discount warehouses offer discounts of up to 70% on customer-favorite brands.
DICK’S has rolled out new discount store models, such as Warehouse and Overtime, to introduce a “treasure hunt” experience for consumers. They have also seen success in their recent earnings reports, bringing in a record-setting increase for in-store sales. DICK’S growth initiatives and sales results serve as a chance to strength their footprint, and ultimately appeal to a wider consumer base in a brick-and-mortar setting.
