Digital native, Away, expands brick-and-mortar footprint with new store, strategic growth plans on the horizon

Luggage brand, Away, is opening a new retail location in San Jose, California on May 6. This is the first store the company has opened since 2021. The digital-native started out as a direct-to-consumer brand, and now has 13 stores across the globe. 

Aside from the San Jose location, Away also plans to open a store in Washington DC this summer, in hopes to focus on the strategic growth of their brick-and-mortar footprint. 

The luggage brand is currently executing growth plans to meet customers where they are. By blending their physical and digital experiences, they hope to create a shopping experience that caters to all shoppers. According to Away, over 70% of their customer base prefers and actively seeks out an omnichannel approach among retailers.
