COVID-19 has impacted all parts of our business — including clients, properties, employees and tenants. At SREG, we felt it was crucial to reach out to our mall tenants at the start of the nation’s pandemic to let them know our commitment to their health and wellness and our ongoing effort to monitor the situation.
We understood that during an unprecedented crisis like this that many tenants would need additional support in order to meet their obligations. To help ease stress and provide guidance to seek relief, we crafted a support letter for our tenants providing the following resources:
- Paycheck Protection Program – Small Business Administration
- Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program
- Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments – IRS
Additionally, we opened a dialog with our tenants to work with them through this unprecedented crisis and provided a Rental Assessment Application questionnaire to better understand their situation and determine how best to work together to assist where possible.
As a company, we value our tenants and made it our mission to work together with them to handle this situation. It is crucial to educate those within our business and ourselves about the current health crisis. We will continue to provide relief where we can during these extraordinary, and unknown times.
