Levi Strauss & Co’s recent acquisition of Beyond Yoga has led the brand to branch into the brick-and-mortar retail space.
Beyond Yoga has announced plans to open their first-ever physical store by the end of this year. The company’s decision to open a permanent store comes after hosting successful pop-up shops this past summer. The pop-up shop has allowed the activewear retailer to connect more closely with new and existing consumers, by hosting in-person workout events that led to successful shopping opportunities.
“Our pop-up store perfectly exemplified the ethos of the brand, and I’m extremely proud of the team’s passion and dedication to deliver such an amazing experience for our consumers. Our success proves the opportunity ahead to become a $1 billion brand, and I’m thrilled to continue our momentum in the physical world of retail,” said Michelle Wahler, co-founder and CEO of Beyond Yoga.
Levi’s acquisition shows a clear effort to diversity their portfolio and remain a prominent retailer in the brick-and-mortar space. The retailer sees an untapped potential among women’s clothing, activewear, and tops.
