Sour Patch Kids has opened their first-ever physical location to celebrate 35 years of the international candy brand. The combined brick-and-mortar retail store and restaurant now has a permanent home in NYC, nestled between NYU and Soho on Bond Street and Broadway.
The store represents the Sour Patch Kids brand perfectly – filled with color, fun, and sweetness. Customers can ask for tasty treats like milkshakes and cookie dough from the cafe, while also purchasing Sour Patch merchandise and candy.
“We’re excited for the kids to bring their playful, sour-then-sweet attitude to the Big Apple and make their mark with the first-ever Sour Patch Kids store. We created this new experience for our fans to engage with the Sour Patch Kids brand on a whole new level, but of course understand that these are uncertain times,” said Danielle Freid, Brand Manager of Sour Patch Kids.
Although these are difficult times, NYC is slowly starting to get back to normal with out-of-state tourists trickling in. Opening a brick-and-mortar location will allow the brand to capitalize on the success of other candy brands and their flagships stores in Times Square, such as M&M’s and Hershey’s.
