The mall was covered with pink. The community came together for The Mall at Wellington Green’s annual Pink Party in the grand court for American Cancer Society and breast cancer awareness.
Each year, the Pink Party has grown. Attendees look forward to this event and being part of its mission to help find a cure for breast cancer. Many of them have been directly affected by breast care and love to share their stories with others in the community.
To help the American Cancer Society continue to raise awareness and conduct research about Breast Cancer, the Zumba class welcomed $10 donations and donations were welcomed at the event. Overall, $823 were raised for the American Cancer Society. Volunteers from the community included middle school students working to earn Junior Honor Society hours.

From Starbucks to California Pizza Kitchen, people were showing their support with various shades of pink to support a great cause.
The American Cancer Society set up one of the two selfie stations. The organization also had a table with breast cancer awareness goodies for all visitors. A representative of the American Cancer Society, Shanonnon Burrows, and numerous other breast cancer survivors shared their personal journies with the cancer. The Zumba community also showed up and donated their energy to raise money for our local American Cancer Society.

The event was wonderful exposure for our tenants.
The Hair Doctor offered discounted products for purchase at the event and sold multiple curling irons. They also handed out discount cards for new clients to use.
Free pretzels were given away by Auntie Anne. Auntie Anne promoted specials and coupons at the event. Along with these special offers, they donated an item for a giveaway.
Following the event, 14 people had lunch at Fords Garage, and 36 people went to California Pizza Kitchen.

California Pizza Kitchen gift cards were purchased by SREG’s Mall at Wellington Green for survivors. Other tenants who participated in giveaways at the event; including B12 and Auntie Anne provided items.

SREG’s Mall at Wellington Green continues to build relationships with partners, create new relationships, grow attendance, gain more exposure on social media and within the mall. Each Pink Party also has more and more spectators joining the festivities to be part of the infectious energy.
Attendees followed-up with the mall in the following days. Each followup was filled with gratitude and appreciation for hosting this great event.
