Spinoso Real Estate Group Delivers First DICK’S House of Sport to Greater Cleveland at SouthPark Mall

Innovative 100,000+ SF store brings interactive rock wall, outdoor field, ice rink, and more to reimagined mall anchor space.

STRONGSVILLE, OH – [November 11, 2025] – Spinoso Real Estate Group (Spinoso REG) announced the opening of DICK’S House of Sport at SouthPark Mall in Strongsville, OH, marking the first location of the experiential concept in Greater Cleveland. The two-level, approximately 100,000+ square foot store transforms the former Sears anchor space into a dynamic destination for sports enthusiasts, featuring an incredible assortment of products, community events, and state-of-the-art retail experiences.

DICK’S House of Sport has several key features that sets it apart from the typical DICK’S Sporting Goods store. Of course, House of Sport sells sporting equipment and apparel but also elevates the traditional shopping experience by offering customers the chance to try, practice, and play in-store. The location features a rock-climbing wall, outdoor field, batting cages, golf simulators with advanced technology, and more. Attached to the store is a field that will be used for open play, clinics, league space, and as an ice rink in the winter months, making the store a great addition to the mall as a community hub.

“When DICK’S Sporting Goods gave me a tour of the new House of Sport location, I was fascinated by the store’s impressive and unique model, from the interactive sport experience to enhanced merchandising of product,” stated Carmen Spinoso, Spinoso REG’s Founder and CEO. “I knew this elevated retail experience would be a perfect fit at SouthPark Mall and look forward to seeing how this dynamic addition will enrich the lives of those in the community and become a destination unlike any other in the region.”

Experiential stores, like DICK’S House of Sport, are a growing trend with proven success in the retail industry.
“DICK’S House of Sport is a game changer for SouthPark Mall and the Cleveland market and set a new standard for experiential retail in the industry,” said Carmen Spinoso, Founder and CEO of Spinoso Real Estate Group. “This concept has proven success in the retail industry as a destination that increases foot traffic, travel distance, dwell time, and annual visits.”
With 35 locations nationwide by the end of 2025, the Cleveland opening puts SouthPark Mall in exclusive company. DICK’S Sporting Goods relocated from its former 55,000-square-foot location within the center to more than double the footprint.
The store celebrated its grand opening Friday, October 31 through Sunday, November 2 with a ribbon cutting ceremony as well as with a variety of in-store events, giveaways and activations all weekend long. Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns were in-store to meet and greet fans.
